I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I trained at Vanderbilt University. In my previous life, I was a literature nerd (still am, actually!) earning a BA from Cornell University and an MA from CUNY Hunter College. I spend a lot of my free time hanging with my pit bull mix, Leon, trying to get outside as much as possible and meditating and learning with the gracious teachers from Spirit Rock.
I help individuals who are experiencing challenging life transitions, acute or chronic anxiety, eating disorders, depression, ADHD, mood/bipolar disorder, insomnia and alcohol/chemical dependency issues. I work closely with LGBTQ folks and I am very interested in supporting BIPOC populations.
Soon, I will offer Ketamine and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy using an Internal Family Systems-informed approach.
I work with clients during their times of wellness in order to create a more balanced, mindful and body-centered consciousness. I have considerable experience working with individuals who are reconsidering their relationship to alcohol and other substances. Psychiatric medications, especially when combined with psychotherapy and a mindfulness practice can play an important role in achieving a greater sense of consistency and balance.
I offer a non-judgmental space and I understand how important it is to meet you exactly where you are while supporting your discovery of what matters most in your life. After a thorough psychiatric evaluation that explores the biological, psycho-social and spiritual issues and ideas affecting your lived experience, we will decide together what medications, if any, would be best.
My CA NP License number is 95005292
I have a collaborating psychiatrist that supervises my work. Please contact me if you’re interested in that information.
